At least in technology, you are missing the point I think. The 'interview' is nothing more than a facade so that employers can show the government how hard they've looked for qualified tech talent. When they 'can't find any qualified talent', they magically find H1B visa candidates they can hire for much less. They post jobs not so they can hire American workers. They post jobs and conduct ridiculous interviews so they can justify outsourcing the jobs at half the rate. Biggest corporate scam going.
